Help for Finalising a Form Submission

How do I ensure that word counts and page limits are correct?

Word counts are now displayed as the form is completed. However, maximum values for each field should not be used alone to determine your form length. To limit the volume of paper used during evaluatiion and scoring, the CV form should be no more than four pages long when opened as a PDF and printed. You should ensure this is the case before submission.

How do I know what a form will look like when printed without using lots of paper?

From within the form, click on the “Open as PDF” option at the top. Wait for the PDF to be created. You will see the form on screen exactly as it will be printed.

How can I check my CV is correct before final submission?

Word counts now showing during editing will help make sure you do not exceed word limits. Opening the form as PDF will show you how it looks when printed. Finally, when you submit, any errors will be notified and can be corrected just prior to submission. If you are asked to “Confirm” your submission, you can always press the browser’s “Back” button if you are not 100% sure you want to submit. Changes will be saved but the form will not be submitted.

How can I save my form and send it to others?

Each form now has an “Open as PDF” option at the top of the form. Click on that option and a PDF will be created from your data. Please be patient as it is created – it is a complicated process and can take a minute or so. Once the PDF has been created, you can save it to disk and send the PDF file to others.

How can I amend my CV before the form deadline?

It is now possible to resubmit a CV at any time before the CV deadline. From within the “My Application” section, click on “My Draft CV”, ensure any changes are made and press “Save and Submit”. This will delete your previously submitted CV and submit a new version.

What is the form authorisation process?

CVs and assessor citations do not go through any form authorisation. Once submitted, they are complete. Supporting statements on behalf of a supporting body and employer citations can be completed by anyone in the organisation but on submission are then automatically sent to be countersigned. Supporting statements are first verified by the SCCLEA National Co-ordinator to make sure some is registered in the system who can countersign the document. Supporting statements can be countersigned by the Head of the supporting body. Employer Citations can be countersigned by the Chair or Chief Executive of the employing authority. Personal Assistants of these people can countersign on their behalf. If these forms are incorrect, they may be rejected for resubmission by the original author.
